1. Visiting the National Security Exhibition Gallery
Led by Dr Stephen Wong, Head of the Chief Executive’s Policy Unit (CEPU), the CEPU team visited the National Security Exhibition Gallery at the Hong Kong Museum of History in Tsim Sha Tsui. Spanning over 1 100 square metres, the gallery is divided into six zones covering various themes such as the history of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the resumption of Hong Kong’s sovereignty by China, the 20 major fields of the holistic approach to national security, as well as laws and developments related to national security. The exhibition enables visitors to have an in-depth and comprehensive understanding of national security as an important cornerstone for maintaining prosperity and stability.

2. Holding a panel discussion on a project funded by the Public Policy Research Funding Scheme (PPRFS)
The CEPU held a panel discussion for the PPRFS which is under its administration. Experts and officials from relevant bureaux were invited to discuss a funded project concerning the development of Hong Kong into an international hub for post-secondary education, with a view to promoting the applicability of the research outcomes.

The panel discussion was chaired by Dr Stephen Wong, Head of the CEPU. Experts participating in the discussion included Professor Daniel Shek, Chairman of the Assessment Panel of the PPRFS and the Strategic Public Policy Research Funding Scheme; CEPU Expert Group members (in alphabetical order of surnames) Professor Cai Hongbin, Professor Thomas Chan, Professor Christopher Chao, Dr Chow Man-kong and Professor Naubahar Sharif; Professor Hau Kit-tai, Chairperson of the Hong Kong Institute of Educational Research; Dr Henry Ho, Founder and Chairman of the One Country Two Systems Youth Forum; Mr Victor Kwok, Assistant Research Director of the Our Hong Kong Foundation; and Professor Jennifer Lin, Associate Vice-President (Global Strategy) of the City University of Hong Kong (CityU). 3. Conducting exchanges with the Hong Kong Coalition on the 2024 Policy Address
Dr Stephen Wong, Head of the CEPU, met with Mr Tam Yiu-chung, Secretary-General and Dr Jane Lee, Deputy Secretary-General of the Hong Kong Coalition, as well as Ms Iris Wong, Chief Officer of the Hong Kong Coalition and Hong Kong Deputy to the National People’s Congress. Dr Wong thanked the Coalition for their recommendations on the Policy Address and exchanged views with the Coalition on future research directions.

4. Visiting the Kowloon Federation of Associations (KFA)
Dr Stephen Wong, Head of the CEPU, and Dr Wang Chunxin, Deputy Head of the CEPU, visited the KFA and met with Ms Connie Wong, President; Ms Tsui Li, Director General; Mr Lin Ho-man, Chief President; Mr Vincent Lam, Standing Deputy Executive Director General; four Deputy Director Generals, namely Mr Wong Chun-ping (who is also Director of the KFA Kwun Tong District Committee and member of the Kwun Tong District Council (DC)), Mr Yang Wing-kit (who is also Director of the KFA Kowloon City District Committee and Member of the Legislative Council (LegCo)), Mr Ho Hon-man (who is also Director of the KFA Wong Tai Sin District Committee), and Mr Chan Wai-ming (who is also Director of the KFA Sham Shui Po District Committee and member of the Sham Shui Po DC); and Mr Ngan Man-yu, Secretary General of the KFA and LegCo Member, to exchange views on the improved district governance structure.
Dr Wong and his delegation also toured the KFA’s community service centre in Sau Mau Ping. By providing appropriate services and support to the grassroots and the local community, the centre aimed to enhance people’s sense of well-being.

5. Visiting the Hong Kong Island Federation (HKIF)

6. Visiting the New Territories Association of Societies (NTAS)
Dr Stephen Wong, Head of the CEPU, and Ms Hinny Lam, Deputy Head of the CEPU, visited the NTAS and met with Mr Chan Yung, President and LegCo Member; Mr Tam Chun-kwok, Chairman; three Vice Chairmen, namely Mr Wan Wo-fai, Mr Chong Yuen-tung and Mr Wong Wai-kit; Mr Ko Wai-kei, DC member; and Ms Li Ka-sin, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the NTAS, to exchange views on their matters of concern in relation to district governance.
Dr Wong and his delegation also toured the Hong Kong Sha Tau Kok Anti-war Memorial Hall in Shek Chung Au, Sha Tau Kok to gain a deeper understanding of the heroic deeds made by the Hong Kong Independent Battalion of the Dongjiang Column and Hong Kong people in resisting Japanese aggression and defending the Motherland.

Dr Stephen Wong, Head of the CEPU, and Ms Hinny Lam, Deputy Head of the CEPU, visited the HKCeND, and met with Professor Wong Yung-hou, Deputy Center Director; Dr Tom Cheung, Assistant Center Director; Professor Amy Fu, R&D Director; and their team to understand the R&D and operation of the HKCeND, as well as discuss the development of biomedical innovation in Hong Kong.

24. Visiting the Hong Kong CPPCC Youth Association (HKCPPCCYA)
At the invitation of the HKCPPCCYA, Dr Stephen Wong, Head of the CEPU, gave an introduction on the highlights of the Policy Address and the research support work of the CEPU at a briefing session on the 2024 Policy Address organised by the Association.
The Policy Address put forth a number of initiatives to support youth development, such as creating more opportunities for youth development. Dr Wong also took the opportunity to listen to the views of the Association on youth policy and their feedback on the Policy Address.

26. Visiting the To Kwa Wan Community Living Room
Dr Stephen Wong, Head of the CEPU, together with Ms Hinny Lam, Deputy Head of the CEPU, conducted a study visit at the To Kwa Wan Community Living Room. The team from the project sponsor, CR Longdation, and the team from the operator, Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, explained to Dr Wong the development process and daily operation of the community living room. Views were exchanged on the business areas of CR Longdation that were related to various policies, including governance at the district level, public housing management and “joint property management” for “three-nil” buildings.

Dr Stephen Wong, Head of the CEPU, visited the PHARM+ HOHCP funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) Charities Trust and operated by the Haven of Hope Christian Service (HOHCS). He met with Mr Horace Lit, Executive Manager of Charities of the HKJC, Ms Chris Chong, Director of Service of the HOHCS, and their team to discuss the daily operation and service scope of the community pharmacy.
